The American Travel Guide™ was established in 1997 and is dedicated to helping you explore America by providing information, photos, and other resourses to maximize your travel experience. This is the second version of the original site, and is being updated to better provide help in discovering American travel destinations.

Each state has its own web page, and all vendors and small businesses are welcome to create a page dedicated to their own unique offering--as long as it's travel related and is suitable for children to view. American Travel Guide™ is here to provide travel information and resources for your enjoyment.

Use this site to explore our 50 states and territories, and we hope that you will find the inspiration to see some of America! This site is not designed, at this time, to enable you to book flights, hotels or other travel services directly, but we are happy to link you to the sites that do.

If you have travel advice to share, caveats for the wary traveler, or any other helpful travel pointers and tips, please feel free to create a free account and share your thoughts, comments, critiques, or how your stay was at that certain resort or hotel--other travelers will thank you for taking the time to share your experience!

Also, you may sign up to have free information sent to you from many tourist bureaus, government travel services, and commercial travel and recreational services--just use the sign-in feature and select which information you would like to receive and how you want to receive it, and we'll do the rest. And if you own a travel or recreational service business that would like to be notified whenever someone expresses interest in your type of offering, you may create a commercial account and choose whether to receive notice only, or add your own free advertisement page--there is no cost!
