Welcome to MONTANA
The Treasure State

Welcome to Montana, The Treasure State. With dramatically different landscapes Montana has something to offer everyone. We have water-and-wind-carved canyons, pristine waters and mile-upon-mile of natural landscapes. Forests and The Badlands, river valleys and deserts, alpine meadows and grassy prairies are all part of the wonderful sites you will see in Montana.

There are glaciers, gushers, ghost towns and buffalo all around you. You can see Mountain goats, moose, bald eagles, bear and deer here. We have the nation’s largest native herd of Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep. There are long-abandoned homesteads on the plains and Indian caves with drawings on the walls. Besides historical attractions, there is fishing, whitewater rafting, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking and skiing. There is plenty to do and see all year round from the first buds of spring to the first snowflake of winter. Come visit Montana and check out Big Sky Country.

We thank you for choosing Montana Travel Guide to plan your next vacation, and hope that your time spent in Montana is both enjoyable and refreshing.
